Merly Correces Considers Emergency Nursing Challenging
It’s a challenge she has taken on with vigor. Since her career at Florida Hospital Heartland Division began in 1992, she has added to her formal education with certifications that include Certified Emergency Nurse, Basic and Advanced Life Support, Trauma Nurse, Pediatrics Advance Life Support, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Merly is a member of numerous Nursing Associations and professional organizations. She still manages to find the time to raise a daughter and enjoys being recognized when she’s out in the community.

IN EVENT OF A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, CALL 911.
- If you have chest pain, shortness of breath or unexpected dizziness, call 911 or go straight to the closest emergency department.
- For broken bones, cuts and burns, sprains and strains, visit a Florida Hospital Emergency Room.
- If you have a cold or the flu, or are just not sure what to do – contact your Primary Care Physician or visit the Emergency Room.
